Challenge

On a software development project with numerous stakeholders, a PMO had to be established during the transition from development to testing in order to ensure ownership, progress, and transparency among those responsible for the test cases

Approach
  • Challenging the test cases for unit, integration, system, and user acceptance tests (process descriptions, acceptance criteria, etc.) for completeness, correctness, and clarity

  • Organization and moderation of daily testing jour fixes with all stakeholders

  • Daily recording and tracking of next steps incl. responsibilities and deadlines

  • Facilitating communication between relevant parties and ad-hoc escalation meetings

  • Maintaining the overall project plan and flagging possible delays

  • Regular reporting to the Steering Committee regarding progress, status, and blockers

Result

Timely completion of all testing activities before go-live
