Challenge
On a software development project with numerous stakeholders, a PMO had to be established during the transition from development to testing in order to ensure ownership, progress, and transparency among those responsible for the test cases
Approach
Challenging the test cases for unit, integration, system, and user acceptance tests (process descriptions, acceptance criteria, etc.) for completeness, correctness, and clarity
Organization and moderation of daily testing jour fixes with all stakeholders
Daily recording and tracking of next steps incl. responsibilities and deadlines
Facilitating communication between relevant parties and ad-hoc escalation meetings
Maintaining the overall project plan and flagging possible delays
Regular reporting to the Steering Committee regarding progress, status, and blockers
Result
Timely completion of all testing activities before go-live
